This project designs the “China-Chic Cultural Creativity (Guochao Wenchuang)” zone for the Wuhan Culture and Tourism Bureau at the China Culture & Tourism Industries Exposition. The spatial design incorporates five top-tier Chinese museum cultural brands, ten renowned cultural brands from various cities across the country, and ten Intangible Cultural Heritage cultural brands. Under the theme “Myriad Makers”, the design creates a striking cultural creativity space through illuminated walls and entrance structures, and utilizes a core multimedia art installation to establish a trend-setting, spectacle-like venue.

In this project, I am mainly responsible for parts from the idea to the refinement before implementation, including Creative Ideas, Spatial Design, Installation Design, Drawing, and Modeling.

The spatial layout follows a generative logic of an encircling path. A prominent core installation is positioned at the very center, surrounded by key museum cultural brand areas, with the outermost ring featuring diverse city and Intangible Cultural Heritage brand zones. The use of rich colors and strategic lighting creates a youthful and vibrant atmosphere throughout the entire scene.

The core installation embodies the “Myriad Makers” theme. A central, bursting kaleidoscope form gathers visual focus and light from the surroundings. An overhead lighting and multimedia fixture, four screens beneath it, and eight elongated screens extending along the passageways collectively form an impressive visual spectacle, creating a unique experiential moment within the space.

The furniture is presented in the form of modular units. Based on different brand identities, these exhibition fixtures are assigned different color schemes. Surface materials for various modules can also be customized according to the distinct characteristics of different cultural products or cities, achieving the goal of a unique design for each pavilion.
