This project is designed for the opening art season of “Panoramic Theater” in Hangzhou Center. The installation is named “Tros’ Resonance” after Tros, the founder of the Kingdom of Troy in ancient Greek mythology. Using the misjudgment of the Trojan horse as a symbol, the installation explores the relationship between cognition and representation: under the rapid changes of modern society, the cognition of technology and existence also requires seeking and shaping a kind of judgment.

In this project, I am mainly responsible for parts from the idea to the refinement before implementation, including creative ideas, Installation Design, Illustrating ,and Modeling..

Starting from the panoramic theater, a space with the city as the stage is created. The installation itself becomes a performer in the theater, interacting with the audience like an insider and an outsider. The mutual gazes between the audience and the performers shape the plot in the theater. The gaze itself between the audience and the performer constitutes the real performance.

Giant robots hold mirrors that reflect the viewer who gazes at the mirror, and the mirror itself gazes back at the viewer. The virtual reality and the real virtuality are inside and outside the screen, becoming virtual and real that are difficult to judge inside and outside the Trojan horse. The cognitive projection of the mirror holder and people resonates on the device, and the huge landscape becomes a metaphor for reality and virtuality.
